Si.Gi. Jarred Goods
SI.GI. Farm products are born out of the desire to share the gastronomy of Macerata with you.
For hundreds of years, farmers of Macerata have been expertly and lovingly producing jams, jellies, dressings, fruit sauces, and other condiments; these are all completely handmade using simple tools such as vegetable mills of various sizes, and traditional cooking methods, such as open-pan boiling. It goes without saying that no chemical thickeners, nor preservatives, nor food dyes of any sort go into these jarred goods, and their different densities are achieved strictly by means of different cooking methods. SI.GI. never works with out-of-season produce, and freshness is preserved through painstaking natural storage techniques.
Many SI.GI. products have received official recognition from the Marche region and have been included in the Atlas of Typical Italian Products "Le Conserve" of the INSOR (National Institute of Rural Sociology). They have also received mention in leading industry publications such as Financial Times, Gambero Rosso, Grand Gourmet, Slow Food, and Verde Oggi.
SI.GI's foods embody all the good and healthy ingredients kept in the cupboards of farming families, but with an extra guarantee. All the raw materials come directly from the SI.GI. organic farm -- which is ISO 9001-2000 certified by the International Quality Control Institute BVQI -- where growing methods are completely natural and controlled by the "Suolo e Salute" Institute and by an authorized Ministry of Health laboratory.
